The Foundation
Christ the Worker Church evolved from the placing of a Curate in the new Parlaunt Road estate in the 1970s. When the land adjacent to the vicarage became available, it was purchased by the church, and with the aid of the local council, a church and community room was built. This has been extended with the addition of a sanctuary and smaller meeting room, and provides a pleasant and intimate worship centre as well as being of use for other purposes in the community. In 2008 a brand new community hall was completed, and dedicated on 4th May 2008 by the Revd Alan Wilson, Bishop of Buckingham.
