The bell tower at St. Mary’s has a peal of eight bells, and a strong tradition of ringing going back to the 17th Century.
The bells are rung every Sunday before the 11am service, as well as for weddings and other special events.
Our bell ringers range in age from those at school all the way to those well past retirement age. Anyone of any age can learn to ring church bells
If you are interested in learning to ring, you are very welcome to join the bell ringers at any Tuesday night practice from 7.30pm in the tower.
